The one item we all need on our film sets

Check out the above video from Grip and Lighting Guru Craig Burnie Burns.  Burnie talks about the simple yet widely used Apple box which can be found on any set across the globe.  Apple boxes are a great item to use to prop up dolly tracks, lights and even actors…

He talks about 4 distinct types of Apple boxes and the names you may come across for them as well as the neat terminology used to describe the way you want to place an Apple box upright or upside down.  Check it out, he even goes into why they became so widely used on set.

Pretty neat and awesome!

Until next time…

Keep shooting!
